Vladimir Putin has been cautioned in regard to a possible "British assassination plot" if he travels to Hungary for discussions with Donald Trump. Russian intelligence colonel Andrey Bezrukov, a former SVR operative, urged Putin: "Do not go to Budapest," advising the summit be shifted to Dubai to avoid an "absolutely treacherous operation." Bezrukov, now a professor at MGIMO and Rosneft advisor, stated critical concerns on Russian state TV about British motives.
