Three astronauts return to Earth after a year in space. NASA's Frank Rubio sets US space record

NASA astronaut Frank Rubio and two Russian cosmonauts have returned to Earth after spending just over a year in space. Rubio set a record for the longest US spaceflight. The trio landed in Kazakhstan after their original ride was hit by space junk and lost its coolant. The extended stay turned a 180-day mission into a 371-day stay. Rubio missed important family milestones and said the psychological aspect of spending so long in space was tougher than expected. NASA has no plans for more yearlong missions at the moment.
