New UBS CEO plays down concerns over size of Swiss bank combination

Sergio Ermotti, the incoming CEO of UBS, has stated that worries about the size of the new bank, combining UBS and Credit Suisse, are unfounded. Despite the merger creating a Swiss bank with $1.6tn in assets and over 120,000 employees, Ermotti believes that they “won’t be at the top of the classification for international banks in terms of size”.
