A wave of violence claimed the lives of ten civilians and three soldiers in Mali, where 88 jihadists were "neutralised" on Saturday, according to the government, which described it as a resurgence of terrorist incidents. Suspected jihadists detonated car bombs near the Sevare airport, and also targeted a "Russian" camp on the edge of the airport. Separately, the Malian army destroyed a terrorist hideout in Mourdiah and about 60 jihadists in Boni.
