A specialized concrete cradle was recently completed for a tunnel boring machine. This machine will construct a new high-speed rail tunnel beneath the city of Lodz. The tunnel will allow trains to bypass the urban area, improving travel efficiency. Excavation is scheduled to commence in early 2027 and conclude by 2029.
