Bangladesh interim govt's chief adviser Muhammad Yunus acquitted in graft case

Muhammad Yunus, Bangladesh's interim government head, was acquitted in a graft case by a Dhaka court just three days after taking oath. The court accepted the Anti-Corruption Commission's request to withdraw the case, following the Code of Criminal Procedure. Yunus, an 84-year-old economist, and three Grameen Telecom officials were previously acquitted in a labor law violation case. Yunus had faced multiple charges under Sheikh Hasina's regime after being dismissed from Grameen Bank in 2011, amid political tensions with the government.
