Global food costs at 2-year low but grocery bills stay high

Food-commodity prices dropped by 2.6% in May, according to the United Nations' global food-cost index. This suggests that the inflation of supermarket prices may alleviate after reaching a two-year low point, however, it is noted that the decline in commodities is taking time to reach consumers as transportation, labour and energy costs remain high.
