Why is US facing shortage of FDA approved drug Adderall?

Adderall, used to treat attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), is in short supply in the United States. Since the Covid-19 pandemic, there has been an increasing demand for Adderall. The unfulfilled demand for the drug has existed since August, and pharmacies find it challenging to stock it.
